ARTICLE I: Name

A: NAME

KCFPV – Drone Racing

B: LOCATION

Greater Kansas City Area

 

ARTICLE II: Purpose

To provide a flying field appropriate for flying and racing actives as it relates to FPV flight. Promote safe usage of UAS aircraft and education of modeling said aircraft.

 

ARTICLE III: Membership

A: QUALIFICATIONS

AMA Membership required

B: DUES

Dues are $20.00 per year for adult AMA members

Youth AMA members pay 50% of Adult AMA Members’ dues

C: RESIGNATION

Any member in good standing may resign his / her membership by giving written notice to the club

D: TERMINATION

If any member ceases to have the qualification necessary for membership in the AMA, his/her membership in the Club shall thereby terminate, subject to reinstatement upon restoration of eligibility

E: EXPULSION

This section provides for enforcement of the Safety Rules that are related to flying activities or any other unacceptable behavior by an individual member or members. Any individual may be expelled from membership from the Club by a two-thirds (2/3) majority vote of the membership if in the officers’ determination, such individual willfully commits any act or omission which is a violation of any of the terms of these Bylaws, or the Rules of the AMA, or which is detrimental the Club, the AMA, or to model aviation.

F: REINSTATEMENT

A two-thirds vote of the membership is required for reinstatement to the club.

 

ARTICLE IV: OFFICERS

A: OFFICERS

President, Vice-President, Safety Coordinator

B: TERM OF OFFICE

Officers are elected annually

C: DUTIES

President shall preside at meetings, VP shall preside in the absence of the president, Safety Coordinator shall ensure all club activities adhere to the National AMA safety guidelines

D: VACANCIES

Officer vacancies are to be filled by the vote of the remaining officers

 

ARTICLE V: MEETINGS

A: REGULAR MEETINGS

These meetings will take place at the conclusion of one of our monthly events to be named at least 2 weeks in advanced of the event.

B: SPECIAL MEETINGS

These meetings will be called as necessary with a lead time of 2 weeks to allow all members to attend

 

ARTICLE VI: Record Keeping

All records will be handed over to the new officers once elected

 

ARTICLE VII: COMMITTEES

Committees will be created by the officers as needs arise for the club to accomplish its goals

 

ARTICLE VIII: NOMINATIONS, ELECTIONS, AND RECALL

A: NOMINTAIONS

Nominations for officer position can be from the floor or by email to kcfpvclub@gmail.com one month prior to the election held in December.

B: ELECTION

Elections are held at the regular meeting in December

 

ARTICLE IX: MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS

A: DISSOLUTION OF CLUB

The duration of the club shall be perpetual. The club may be dissolved with the approval of two-thirds vote of the membership.

 

ARTICLE X: AMENDMENT OF THESE BYLAWS

A: PROPOSED

Any changes to the bylaws shall be proposed in a regular meeting to be voted on in the next subsequent regular meeting.

B: APPROVAL

The officers will review the proposal and vote on presenting it to the rest of the club, requiring two-thirds approval before sending it to the club to vote on.

C: VOTING

The amendment will be voted on in the following regular meeting it was submitted at. For the amendment to succeed into the bylaws two-thirds of present members need to vote in favor.
